About Kodiak, AlaskaFishingHuntingCamping

Some may think that our island is small, but rest assured there is no shortage of things to do while you are visiting. Although we are usually known for our hunting and fishing opportunities, these two activities are just the beginning.

Water Sports
Kayakers find our surrounding waters very intriguing and great for exploration. Kayaking experiences range from exploring sea and land animals in small protected coves to tackling the untamed sea in larger coves or open water (for the experienced only!)
Cold water offers a unique scuba diving encounter. The life present in cold seas is quite different from that you witness in tropical regions. We even have a few shipwrecks for your exploration.
Both of these activities can be done alone or with an experienced charter or guide service.

Land Based Activity
You might enjoy quietly exploring a beach for washed ashore treasures, or hiking some higher ground while examining our ever-changing plant life. Maybe golf is your game, or mountain biking. Guided trail tours or deep woods exploration of the foliage in the world's only unmixed stand of massive Sitka Spruce. All of these are easily accomplished on your visit to our island.
